St Neots Town are today delighted to announce the appointment of CAMERON MAWER as our new First Team Manager with immediate effect.

Cameron (37), a UEFA ‘B’ badge holder who resides in Bedford, joins us after a successful playing career, during which included an FA Trophy winners medal whilst playing for Grays Athletic in 2005/6. Born in Stevenage in 1986, he began his playing career with Watford and had a spell at Peterborough United. Playing predominantly as a Right Centre Back or Right Back, Cam then had successful spells at Grays Athletic and Weymouth in the Conference (National League) before moving on to Arlesey Town and more recently Biggleswade Town. After spending 8 years at Boreham Wood, beginning as Academy manager, (where a number of his alumni progressed to the Pro game), he was promoted to First-Team Coach and then Assistant Manager. He then left The Wood to link up with Lee Allinson at Hendon FC in April 2021 as Assistant Manager to his old Waders team-mate. Cameron departed Hendon in February 2023. Cam currently runs successful academies at both Kempston Rovers and Wealdstone.

Cameron had this to say about his appointment at the The Saints…

“I am delighted to be given the opportunity to manage this football club and my aim is to put a team together that the Town can be proud of and puts St Neots back to where it belongs. I am under no illusions just how tough that will be but I am ready for the challenge.”

Cameron is currently busy finalising his backroom team and details of this will be released in due course.

Please join us in welcoming Cameron to St Neots Town FC and we hope his tenure as First Team Manager will be an enjoyable and successful time as we begin life back in Step 5 of the National Football pyramid.
