ST NEOTS TOWN U18 14 WISBECH TOWN U18 0
Playing against a depleted opposing team that turned up late for the match with just nine players, St Neots U18 side helped themselves to fourteen goals – seven in each half and it could have been many more but for some missed chances and a heroic performance by under-pressure visiting skipper/goalkeeper Josh Feeney. It was the third league meeting of the two sides and the result took St Neots’ tally to forty-nine goals scored with just one against. With almost half an hour gone St Neots led just 1-0 but then the floodgates opened with four goals in the final five minutes of the first half. The second half followed a similar pattern with just one further goal in the opening twenty minutes of the half but as St Neots utilised their substitutes the pressure told, and further goals followed. The best attacking efforts the visitors offered were two first half corners with home keeper Alex Bent not having a serious save to make throughout.
The Saints’ goal scorers were:
Harleigh Camfield (3), Nigel Coleman (2), Caleb Wright (2), Rocco Smith (2), and one each from Adam Baker, Levi Baker, Luca Ugarte-Edwards, Will Jolley, and Frankie Webster.
St Neots Town: Bent, Baker (A), Jolly (J), Webster, Woodward, Morris, Smith, Jolly (W), Camfield, Wright, Ugarte-Edwards
Subs: Coleman, Tonks, Olive, Baker (L), Collins.
Referee: Jack Badcock (St Ives)
